Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Ecosystems is an interactive mural by Studio Peers and Emma Theyers. Highlighting our local ecosystem and the work done by the Whakatipu Reforestation Trust to protect our local environment. Visitors can scan the QR codes to find out more about each species featured in the artwork. You can also experience the Eco Walkway, a storyboard of window murals that highlight the recycling efforts of our host Steamer Wharf. The Creative Spaces Project was created in partnership with Queenstown Lakes District Council and Three Lakes Cultural Trust, supported by Central Lakes Trust, Creative Queenstown, Creative New Zealand and Silo.
