In this relaxed and playful workshop, participants will explore a variety of art materials and discover the joy of experimentation. Through simple exercises, we will try different mark-making techniques using paint, markers, collage, and drawing tools. The focus is on curiosity and creativity rather than perfect results. Series 2 - Save the date 9 May. The topic is Creative Greeting Cards: Exploring Colour & Texture.
About your facilitator: Emma Peers is an artist, illustrator and resident artist at Te Atamira. Through her practice, Emma holds emotion, memory, and stories that are often difficult to put into words. Working primarily with paint, Emma experiments with movement, her process is expressive and intuitive, allowing the paint to move, drip, and shift as she works, letting each layer reveal something new.
