WANAKA

Saturday 7 November 2026

10:00am–12:30pm

Wanaka Arts Centre

Enjoy a relaxed Saturday morning of watercolour painting and Christmas creativity in Wanaka.

The class is deliberately kept small so that everyone receives plenty of personal guidance and encouragement throughout the workshop.

• Perfect for beginners
• You have never tried watercolour before
• You have dabbled with watercolour and would like more guidance
• You would love to make your own Christmas cards
• You want a relaxed creative activity before Christmas
• You think you cannot draw or paint
• You simply want to slow down, learn something new and enjoy making art

You do not need to be “artistic” to enjoy this workshop. Jo will guide you through each stage, making the process approachable and achievable.

There is no pressure to produce a perfect painting. The aim is to enjoy learning, experiment with watercolour and discover how enjoyable painting can be.

Create something personal for Christmas

Handmade Christmas cards have a special quality that shop-bought cards cannot replicate.

During the workshop you will create your own watercolour Christmas card designs, giving you something personal and handmade to share with family and friends.

You can also take the ideas and techniques you learn and continue making cards at home.
